just to update... the "sustainable" seed post is starting to see significant growth... but with the growth problems with the design have been revealed...in area 1 the bermuda grass has started to grow and is uninhibited by the lace
in area 2 wildflower seeds have started to sprout but the leaves are too big to push through the lace
in area 3 wildflower seeds have managed to push through
so in hindsight maybe wildflowers were not the best idea for this iteration of the seed post
but on a positive note... the catch basin at the bottom seems to be working well and the twine core has managed to wick the water more than halfway up the seed post
